Meeting Her Parents--11.03.05--repost

Finally, I agreed to meet the family. After much ado, I finally had the courage to do it. I was a nervous wreck the entire morning waiting for the end shift. My friends said I looked good, well, good thing I dressed extra careful the night before, or else I would have been dead.

When we reached the place where they stayed for the night after arriving from Hong Kong, all I could ever think of was—"Michelle, behave." Then I was finally introduced. Though I was not formally introduced as the GF, (Troy said when he was introduced to Eman's folks formalities weren't needed since their pictures together were plastered all over their room) seemed like it was the idea. As my honey said, this is the first time she ever introduced a girl to her family. Since we were "room mates" I had to stop myself whenever I open my mouth to say "honey". Oh well, if they only knew, my baby and I share, not just the room, but the bed as well, shirts, shorts and other things too. Her sister Arlene and I even talked about the possibilities of venturing into the Glutathione business. We further talked about other things until it was time for them to leave.

As we waited for the MGE cab we called for, her mom stood next to me. She asked me how Alex and I eat. Told her that we stock food in the common fridge in our place and whenever I go home to our residence, my mom or granny cooks food for me to bring for Alex as well. Told her we also cook but mostly we eat what's there. She gently reached out and rubbed my shoulder. She said she feels great knowing that Alex found a friend like me. Told her that Alex is my Granny's favorite. Oh well, so goes the story. I will feed in more details when we fly over to Davao next year. Will definitely keep you posted.
